There are a couple of different awards ceremonies in our area that are looking for nominations. If you have a candidate in mind, please submit the paperwork accordingly.
THE FIRST ONE IS:
2018 Community Sport Hero Awards (please see attachment)
PacificSport and the City of Kelowna are pleased to recognize the outstanding contributions of sport volunteers and athletes in our community, with the 2018 Community Sport Hero Awards. This is your chance to nominate that special volunteer (coach, manager, administrator, official, etc) and/or athlete achiever whose talent and dedication have “caught your eye” or helped make your sport experience extraordinary. Awards will be presented at the 2018 Community Sport Hero Awards Reception, to be held Wednesday, February 7, 2018.
Along with the recognition of this year’s winners, this 15th Anniversary Year of the Reception will take some time to recognize Sport Hero Award Recipients of the past 15 years, to send-off Okanagan athletes headed to 2018 BC Winter Games in Kamloops, and to celebrate the Okanagan athletes headed to the 2018 Olympic & Paralympic Games in PyeongChang. Once again, this year’s reception will feature a keynote address from a Community Sport Hero.
